Sex Crimes Attorneys in Dallas, Texas

Nothing is more frightening than being accused of committing a sex crime, and no other crime carries a greater stigma based on a single accusation. Since most sex crimes have no physical evidence to corroborate them, an accusation can be brought against a person based on the word of one other individual. Consequences for the accused can be horrific. Convictions for this type of crime generally come with a lifetime sex offender registration requirement and penitentiary time.

However, strong legal representation offers hope in the midst of the chaos.

Why Madson Castello, PLLC?

Kendall Castello and Messina Madson supervised both the sexual assault division and the child abuse division of the Dallas County District Attorney’s Office. They have handled hundreds of these cases as both prosecutors and criminal defense attorneys. Understanding the prosecutor’s mindset and the weaknesses of these types of allegations, our firm has achieved great results in many cases—including dismissals and no-bills—often keeping the allegations from ever becoming public.

Sexual Assault—Case Not Filed by Police Department

Our client was a young professional accused of sexually assaulting a girlfriend. We were able to use video evidence as well as inconsistencies in the accuser’s claims to give context to the investigating officer and prevent the case from being filed with the district attorney’s office.

Aggravated Sexual Assault of a Child—Case Reduced and Client Received Deferred Probation

Our client was accused of sexually assaulting a young cousin over the course of more than a year. That charge carries a 25 years-to-life sentence upon conviction. Client was a young man at the time of the offense and had been charged with a similar offense when he was a juvenile but never treated for his issues. We were able to establish that our client was a former victim himself and still a teenager when the most recent offense occurred. The case turned on our ability to document that the accused was a victim himself and demonstrate through expert reports that he could be safely counseled rather than being incarcerated more years than he had lived up to that point. Client received deferred probation with intensive treatment and supervision.
